The Cambodian government said on Wednesday 16th September that in the first three quarters of 2009 Cambodia has exported 8,000 of rice more than 2008 to overseas.
during a rice seminar in Phnom Penh on Wednesday, Mr. Mao Thora, Secretary of State of Commerce Ministry, said up to the middle of August 2009 Cambodia has exported 8,000 tons of rice which is more than the entire year of 2008, mainly to African, European and Asian countries.
Mr. Mao Thora said last year, Cambodia has exported only 5,000 tons of rice to overseas. He added Cambodia has the capacity to export up to 10,000 tons per year.
