PHNOM PENH (Xinhua) -- Cambodia celebrated the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Brigade No. 70 on Monday with an aim to further enhance national solidarity and unification.
Prime Minister Hun Sen, accompanied by Defense Minister Tea Banh and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces ( RCAF) Pol Sareoun, presided over the ceremony in which more than 1,000 soldiers were on parade, showing military trucks, weapons, armoured vehicles, ambulances and fire trucks.
Military attaches of foreign embassies to Cambodia were also invited for the ceremony, which was held at the headquarters of the Brigade No. 70 on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.
Speaking at the event, Hun Sen highly appreciated the armed forces for their great sacrifices for the cause of the nation, religion and king in all phases. "I have confidence that the RCAF, especially the Brigade No. 70, will continue implementing its role and duty better for the cause of independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, peace and development in the Cambodian society,"he said. "The celebration not only shows the government's high attention to the Brigade No. 70, but also reminds our armed forces to strengthen national solidarity and unification so as to maintain national peace, harmony and welfare,"he added.
The prime minister said the reputation of the RCAF was well- known internationally since the country has actively joined the United Nations in peacekeeping mission through sending peacekeepers to conduct humanitarian activities in war-torn countries.
Lt. Gen. Mao Sophann, commander of the RCAF's Brigade No. 70, said over the past 20 years, the Brigade No. 70 has constructed 128 buildings for the army including headquarters, offices, hospitals, dormitories and training centres. Besides, it has built numerous roads and ponds for rural people. "The Brigade No. 70 has actively contributed to defending territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national interests,"he said.

This brigade 70 is under direct order of Yuon colonial leader Hun Sen to enforce the Yuon colonial in Cambodia . They are feeding well , good equip with all modern weapons from CHINA , VIETNAM , US and others western and good salary not like the all soldiers stationing in the border west of the country . Hun Sen and their servants depend on this brigade to defend , protect , enforce or crush and kill any Khmer who dare to stand up revolt against colonial Yuon regime . ICC and world court need to investigate this crucial brigade activities and their secret role to know what they are doing ? Yuon use this colonial regime to protect the on going progress of controlling Yuon plan to put iron colonial fist in this Khmer nation .
