PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Kem Sokha, first vice president of the National Assembly, and vice president of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), is going to meet with the Australian embassy’s representative tomorrow to talk about refugee deal, according to his cabinet chief Mut Chantha.
Mr. Chan Tha said that the meeting would focus mainly on the refugees who would be going to be sent to Cambodia from Australia.
Many people have been protesting over the agreement between the Cambodian and Australian governments over the refugee agreement demanding them to nullify the agreement. The protesters have been submitting petition asking the embassies to pressure both governments accusing the two governments of taking 1,000 refugee in exchange for money.
