Interview: Cambodian scholars back Chinese President Xi's remarks at state memorial ceremony for Nanjing massacre victims

PHNOM PENH, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian experts on Saturday voiced their support for Chinese President Xi Jinping's remarks at China's first state memorial ceremony for Nanjing massacre victims.
While attending the ceremony which was held at the memorial hall for the massacre victims in the east China city of Nanjing, Xi said the Nanjing Massacre, committed by Japanese aggressors, was one of three major massacres during WWII. It was an atrocious anti-human crime and a dark page in the history of humanity.
"Anyone who tries to deny the massacre will not be allowed by history, the souls of the 300,000 deceased victims, the 1.3 billion Chinese people, and all people who love peace and justice in the world," Xi said.
Japanese troops captured Nanjing, then China's capital, on Dec. 13, 1937 and started a slaughter of 40 days. More than 300,000 Chinese soldiers, who had laid down their arms, and civilians were murdered and about 20,000 women were raped.

Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Cambodia's Council of Ministers, said the commemoration provided lessons from the history to younger generations and encouraged people to love peace. "I support China's commemoration for Nanjing massacre victims and Xi's remarks at the ceremony," he told Xinhua. "It is essential for younger generations to learn from the past history so as to avoid the repeat of such brutality in the future." "The commemoration is also a wake-up call for countries to love and maintain peace," he said.
Pou Sovachana, a senior research fellow at the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace, also voiced his support to Xi ' s remarks, saying that it is necessary to honor all the Chinese victims who were brutally killed at that time. "As a scholar, I support China's commemoration for Nanjing massacre victims and Xi's speech because this will remind the world that such brutal act must not happen again and wars are not solutions to issues," he said.
"It is to tell the world that the brutal murdering of innocent people must not be forgotten."

You are so naive and hypocrites bias your communist administration . Did you have courage to critic this dictator leader , who ferociously order their soldiers to shoot your real blood people as the same circumstance you side with China leader ? Be strong for helping Khmer people cause , instead support the shadow story of other country .

Begin of Drgunzet's comment.

Well, Khmer can also blame the Vietnamese for the rape of Nanking, "It's the Vietnamese troops dressed as Japanese troops who committed the crimes against the Chinese." lol....

There are some Khmer posters who have been writing posts about the Vietnamese dressed as Khmer Rouges and pretended to be Pol Pot's troops to kill millions Khmer civilians during 1975 - 1978. lol....

Khmer race is at its end. That's why you see such stupid Khmers writing insane comments on the internet.

Khmer race is the only known race in the world who openly write incitements to "kap youn", "kap yuon", "karp yuorn", chopping up, butchering other race with axes and knives. If you read the Cambodian police reports in Cambodia, axe, knife attacks are rampant in today Khmer culture! Check it out here:

According to the latest survey, a Cambodian person is 50 times more likely to die from violence than a Japanese. 50 times!!! Check the last report in this link:

-Drgunzet-,

You are not different from the hidden Vietnamese agent Thong Sarath (using Khmer name) along this fugitive Thong Sarath whose parents did not speak Khmer clearly have a high ranking position in CPP government.

All Khmer people at home and abroad know very well about the bad situations in Cambodia caused by your illegal Vietnamese agents as Hun Sen's advisers and servicemen and servicewomen in Yuon/Vietnamese CPP regime led by your buddy Hun Sen who is a Vietnamese puppet. We will unmask the Vietnamese hidden or secret agents in Hun Sen CPP regime that your Vietnamese secret agents like Thong Sarath and his Vietnamese parents in high ranking CPP official offices. We know that Thong Sarath, his parents and other Vietnamese agents have been pretending to be Cambodian to these days or until today.

No matter what you mentioned or post the negative and manipulative comments for others to read, the readers worldwide along Khmer readers are not gullible as you think. So, don't be smart to fool other.

Keep going on, buddy. You will be shameful of your own Vietnamese race.

I don't have time to feel against you "-Drgunzet-" and Khmer readers and I am so busy to make it better for Cambodian people's lives and Cambodia country to become prosperous. Your Vietnamese races are too busy to cheat, rob, do illegal businesses, etc. at home and around the world. I know Vietnam and Vietnamese people have very bad reputations around the world, that not everyone has time and energy to criticize your races because we already know.

P.S. You "-Drgunzet-" and Vietnamese or Yuon folks will never shut up to falsify, manipulate and cover up the lies and crimes your Vietnamese or Yuon government and leaders (including some very bad Vietnamese folks) have committed in the eye of the world. Khmer people have tried to make everything settled down, make peace neighbor, give up the huge part of Khmer territory to your ill-intended Vietnamese government leaders in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh and ill-intended Thai government leaders in Bangkok. You need to face the reality and facts. Khmer people who are the victims because of your Vietnamese and Thai races will never be quiet to find the justices and make claims of what they have lost to your race. I would have to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
