PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Heads of lawmakers from Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) will meet late this month to further promote culture of dialogue, said a CPP senior official Friday.
"Now the National Assembly has officially recognized appointment of lawmakers of CPP and CNRP, and these groups will probably meet on January 27, 2015," said Sar Kheng, acting Prime Minister and head of lawmakers of CPP, Friday.
"There will no important talk in the meeting, but just to show that the two parties are continuing to promote culture of dialogue," Sar Kheng told police graduation ceremony in Kandal province.
For election reform, Sar Kheng said that the two parties have already finished talks on law on National Election Committee creation, and have continued to discuss election law consisting of 12 chapter.
Top leaders of CPP and CNRP agreed last year that the election law and other related laws would be finished by the end of February 2015.
"So far we have finished discussion of eight chapters of election law, and the remaining points will be discussed by leaders of the two parties," he said, believing that the law will be finished because there is plenty of time left until February.
The parliament chief also officially recognized Sam Rainsy as parliamentary minority leader whose rank is equal to Prime Minister.
The minority leader in the National Assembly will be the dialogue partner with Prime Minister to discuss the national issues.

ការជួបគ្នារបស់មន្ត្រីកំពូលគណបក្សទាំងនេះ បន្ទាប់ពីថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំ ដែលមានសំឡេងក្នុងសភា បានប្រើពាក្យសំដីធ្ងន់ៗឆ្លើយឆ្លងគ្នា រហូតដល់លោកនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ហ៊ុន សែន ថា ព្រមានលុបចោលវប្បធម៌សន្ទនា ជាមួយលោក សម រង្ស៊ី និងចំពេលដែលក្រុមការងារបច្ចេកទេសទាំងពីរ ខ្វែងគំនិតលើចំណុចមួយចំនួន ពីការធ្វើកំណែទម្រង់ការបោះឆ្នោត៕
